Documentary Iceberg
So just found an iceberg of the most disturbing documentaries and right now I have some spare time so I go on the quest to find them, watch them and somehow review them, I'm not by any means a "connoisseur" in what documentaries refer to, but it's my humble opinion.

4Chan Archive (After the Nuke)

On the 14th day of April 2025, 4chan the largest cesspool on the internet was hit by an attack that rendered it completely unusable for months. You might not grasp the magnitude of this event: 4chan is the first stop for many internet users. The most relevant news or the strangest happenings of the day worlwide.

While 4chan's content is of questionable origin, often bordering on the depraved and visually explicit, if you manage to dig through all the layers of crap, you eventually reach areas with more coherent users and very high-quality material lots of lost media and files that are practically impossible to find anywhere else on the internet. That's why, when 4chan died, hundreds of references to thousands of files died with it.

Time passed, and 4chan rise from the ashes like a phoenix, but it was a complete wipeout. Many threads had to start from scratch, and, as expected, were quickly flooded with porn especially /t/, which hosts a large collection of magnet links.

In the world of data hoarding or archiving, there's always someone who takes the time to preserve data it's just part of the culture. While digging around online, I came across someone on Reddit who has been scraping 4chan for years and managed to save a lot of what was lost:

I found what I was looking for. My hard drives are now working 24/7, saving that material for posterity.

Happy Hoarding!
